  1. Herbs were very common in use long ago for cures.
    The cure the people had for a scorch was to put a docket leaf on it.
    For a cracked lip they used to get the heart of a docket and put it on it.
    For a tail worm garlic was very good. The garlic must be cut up. Then the tail must be cut down the middle and the garlic put on it. Then a cloth must be tied around the tail.
    Green Broom is good for a horse that has worms. It must be cut up fine and mixed amongst bran and then given to him.
    "Rideógs" They are good for any cold but it must be boiled. Then the juice of it must be drunk with new milk.
    Chilstrums are good for "leicnesc".
    They must be warmed near the fire and then tied around your neck.
    Garlic or any other green stuff is good to purify the blood.
