  1. Long ago the best creel or basket maker in this district was Denis Corr better known as Big Dinny in Annacalkill.
    He had a nursery in which he grew the red willows for the making.
    The first thing he did was to cut the rods and put them up the chimney to season and when they were seasoned he began to make the basket and when made were sold for sixpence. Every day on which a fair was held he sold the creels.
