    Churning.
We have no churn but I saw my auntie's churn. It is about three feet high and one and a quarter foot across the top.It is ten inches across the middle. The principal parts of the churn are the staff, the dash and the lid. They churn about three times a week in the summer-time and twice a week in the winter. It takes about an hour to churn. If a stranger comes in during churning,he or she will take a "brash" as it is said to be lucky.
