  1. Travellers still come to our district. They sell small things, such as, pictures, candles, spools, paper-flowers, tins and tin articles.
    They have vans and they travel from place to place, they nearly always go on by-roads, they cook in the vans and sleep in little tents out-side the van.
    They go around looking for milk, tea, and bread to the houses in the district where they camp. They usually go about in families. The Cooneys are the best known of them in our district.
