    Deiridh mná agus ar mo chara sa bhaile.
    Do chasas an fiadh fé'n bhráid.
    Do thuiteas do'm capall dá thrian cnámh.
    Agus foraeacht dhuacht daingean mar
    Cailleas mo chiall in dhiaidh mná.

    Saighdiúirí single a rhinnreadh an drum
    Agus do bhuaileadh an cláireach bhinn is
    Ní fiú dhá phingin mé tuairimh ar cártínn dea.

    Má's mar magadh iseadh airgid suas mo spré
    Cead agus datad ar bhána mo nóitín caol.
    Agus buacallín mise ná bhfonn riamh sórt dom saoghal.
    Síle Ní Ealuighthe,
    Lios Na Gaoithe.
    Fuaireas an t-amhrán so ó:-
    Seamús Ó Ealuighthe.
    Lios na Gaoithe.
