  1. About fifty years ago a man and his wife were going to town with the horse and cart. The man suddenly saw a fairy by the roadside looking for something. Out he jumped and caught the fairy.
    He kept his eye on the fairy and said he would kill the fairy if he would not tell him were the crock of gold was hidden.
    The fairy said he had been caught before and that he gave his one and only crock to get free. He had no gold but he would give the three wishes.
    The man let the fairy go on his way and he started the horse again for town. The wife and he decided to wait until they
