  1. A long time ago there was a man named Valdo who lived near my mother's residence in Lisanerla Tralee. He was called Valdo of the hammer". All the tools he had were forged by fairies. The English boasted that their blacksmith Henry Clifford was better than Valdo. A contest was held between Valdo and Henry. Valdo won but the English threatened the people with death unless they said Henry won. They said Henry won and it made Valdo very angry. He led a revolt against the English and won the battle. He brought with him Dasas
