Tribute to Mr Franks for the building of the Knockachur - Loughfouder bridge...

    (continued from previous page)
    That's so well inclined
To serve his kind, in the hour of need.

    For Mrs. Drummond,
    We'll play and hum on,
In fife and drum and clarionet,
    In strains uproarious,
    We'll play in chorus,
May God so glorious long spare her yet.

    May God yet crown him,
    He kept from drowning,
    Our children down in the roaring tide;
    The floods not stronger,
    Than they any longer,
Their foam and anger, though deep and wide.

    Through rage and bubble
    We're free from trouble
And on the double we waft our thanks
    In press and current
    Thro' tide and torrent
And where they aren't for Mr. Franks
