    The 'Blackbird' line, the Rising Moon,
    And '[?]' as gay.
    Old Alfie challenged 'Pádis'
    A dancing bout with zeal,
    And you never saw such prancing,
    Twas a grand old simple reel.

    Young Billeen Harnett danced so neat,
    And waltzed so [?] round,
    With light fantastic to so fleet,
    He scarcely touched the ground.
    When 'ees he spoke, twas such a joke
    The laughter loud would ring
    Good humour gag in comic way.
    He bubbled like a spring

    The Pádis insisted,
    He would sing old Michael's lay
    And "You'd long to see one meeting
    In bold Brona to-day,"
    The minstral soon grew thirsty
    The flowing bowl he drained.
    With beaming face and charming grace
    Though practice long attained.
