  1. Michael O' Connor, generally known as "Micheal the weaver," was the local poet. He lived about a couple of hundred yards above Tim Roche's house which presently stands. He is buried in the Brosna graveyard. He made the songs in English. This poet was a weavor. While he used to be rhyming his wife wrote down all the songs. If they were not written down he could not think of them any more. These poets were looked upon as very important people.
