    Pure wheaten was made for priests and those of high rank. It was regarded as a wonderful treat.

  2. On St. Stephen's all the boys of the neighbourhood go round to gather money. Long ago boys and men went out.
    Before the dinner on Christmas Day a crowd of men went out to the hedges to catch a wren. They killed the wren and attached the body to a holly stick or put a live one into a glass pot. On St. Stephen's Day
