  1. Once upon a time there was a big thunderstorm. There was a boat coming from Fenit and it was loaded with flour and meal. The captain's name was Mr Stokes who lived at Blennerville. A furious wind came from the North and the boat was dashed against a rock and it sank.
    The old people say that thunderstorms were more furious long ago than now. Snow storms were frequent. Once a girl coming home from school got lost in the snow. A man going with milk in the morning found her dead body.
