    In the course of time the Batemans sold their Estate in Oakpark and it was purchased by a Protestant direct fromt he English garrison whose name was Maurice Sandes. After the purchase of the property he started renovating the place and built the present house at a cost of thirty two thousand pounds he also built a beautiful farm yard with all the modern equipment of his time - not having any family of his own and before hsi death which occured about 1885 he willed the property to his nephew Faulkener Collins but in order to inherit the property he had to take the name of Faulkener Collins Sanders - after the death of this Faulkener Collins Sanders his daughter Miss Dorris married a man by the name of Captain leslie who in a few short years sold the property to the Government of that time and again resold it to the Prosentation nuns some land to the local golf and some more to the workmen in the
