  2. There is a story told about two men of the
    McLoughlins that whent across the lake in a boat
    to Killaraght to look at cattle they had grazing.
    When they came to the shore to go home their
    boat was gone and as there was no bridge across
    the lake at Cuppanagh they had to walk around
    the shore to a passage where Allens in to-day.
    They went up the avenue and when they came
    out on the gate and turned for home a big
