  2. There is a fairy fort in Martin Mitchell's land. One night, it is said, before a fair a man came to gather sticks at the fort. He was putting the sticks on a rope when he saw that there was enough on it. He tried to put them on his back but he never succeeded, but fell to the ground. People who were going to the fair next morning assisted him and sent him home.
