clay. A blindfold is put on a person. If he puts his hand in the clean water he will cross the sea. If he puts his hand in the dirty water he will remain a bachelor. If he puts his hand in the clay he will die before the next November Night. Another custom is that the souls in Purgatory are asking for help on that night. if a person is out on that night and leaves brash along his feet that is a sign that a soul in Purgatory is asking for help. There are other customs that night.
