    little hill overlooking the Sligo - Dublin road at Carrick-na-gat which is situated about a half mile from Collooney.
    There are some cromlechs near the ruins of Mc Donagh's Castle in the vicinity of Collooney.

    Local Cures
    We can now receive many modern cures and treatments for our various diseases and ailments, but some old people still prefer to use old methods of curing.
    Holy wells were often visited in past years by people who sought relief from their ailments.
    These ancient cures were made from different things but most of them were made from herbs such as garlic, thyme, parsley, mint etc.
