    About the year 1703 mass was said in a field in Streeda belonging now to Thomas Gilmartin. The field is opposite the house which is occupied by John Hargadon and near a large fort. There is a large stone which is called Carraig An Aifrinn Móir. This stone has a hollow sound when clapped by your hand. It is said that mass vessels of gold are hidden somewhere near it but no one has ever searched for them or touched the stone.
