Aon lá amháin thainig sé go liosachán agus chonnaic sé an áit ar fad dubh leo. Do thosnuig sé ortha á bpiocadh ‘s á n-ithe. Níor bhfada gur bhuail an tart é. Seo leis abhaile agus chrom sé ar uisce liathadh d’ól, ach ní raibh aon mhaith dho ann, ní fada mhair sé gur mhairbh an tart é.
