There was a man there long ago and he had the name of a great thief, and when he did the priest wouldn't pray for him.

    (continued from previous page)
to me and when I had Mass celebrated a went upon a bridge and threw my keys into river and my sin woulnt be forgiven until I'd get them with out looking for them. So he ate the salmon and he was very well pleased. So he told them he was a parish priest. The girl said that any of them weren't baptised or in the care of them and that they would stand up for each other and he said himself would stand up for the girl, and he baptised them and heard their confessions and he told them they were clear from sin and he to the four brothers to go to a cross where ther was four roads & are meeting and to have each go his own road and the girl said she would go with the priest what ever would happen her. When the morning came the boys went their own road and the priest went to the priests house and the girl followed him and when he came to the priests house the priest told his story to the parish that was there that time. They got plenty to eat and to drink and they were very tired and they went to bed and the two were found dead in their beds in the morning.
