On nearing Beal an Easa there was a great stone in their pathway. Ossian took it and left it sitting on the mountains top above Carraig Wood. It is still there and is known as Carraig na Bogaide or the Stirring rock.
Having passed Beal an Easa Ossian sat on a rock on the mountain-side to rest and the impression he left on the stone is to be seen to this day.
