The manures used in this district are bag manure, wrack and dung. Some people put out the dung before they plough the ground but others put it out after ploughing. Wrack is always put out before they plough the land but bag manure is not put on until we are moulding the potatoes. It is then put beside the little stalk which is just growing. We mould the potatoes in Summer and we pull all the weeds that are growing in the drills or in the ridges.
