  1. In the olden times there was a man named Paddy Murphy who lived in the townland of Altens, Templeboy, Co. Sligo. He used to collect the letters in the townlands of Altens and Dunbekin every day and bring them to Dromore West every morning in time for the mail car.
    This man had a great hunting hound. One day before collecting the letters he took him out for a hunt and after a while he saw a hare. The hunt lasted for about two hours and Paddy kept as near to the hound as the hare. At length the hound gave up, but Paddy himself continued the race until he caught the hare. Then he took the hare home and everybody was wondered.
