    spirits used to be seen. It was a fairly long distance from her house, and besides the roads were lonesome.
    There was a rumor that a man and a woman passing by that quarry one night, and they saw a woman come out of the quarry dressed in a white sheet. She passed out the couple and she said to them, "Hello" and answered her back, and then she disappeared amongst the twigs. This little girl heard that and it made her nervous. She was coming from the village one night and she met a widow. The widow then asked if she was indread and she said that she was not. But all the same she was and she never pretended it to the widow.
    Then the widow reached her an apple and she ran away home as fast as she could.
