As long as I live my companion thou'll be
I'll take thee to Erin so far over the sea.
Ill wear thee when hunting the fox o'er the wildwood
And prize thee as much as the friends of my Childhood,
For the sake of the fond one who sent thee to me,
From my own cherished Erin, across the wide sea,
And when cruel death comes, to end earthly joys,
In the Coffin I'll wear thee my Coat of Frieze
