    And cocked up all her fingers to count how many days
    She then went home, without any more delay
    And came back for the linen on the appointed day.
    The weaver had it ready and she liked the work the best,
    And she drew the weaver’s money from a ‘tresbag’ from her breast,
    She paid what he demanded & said he earned more,
    And like the ‘Ould Cow’ with the hay stack
    They had compliments galore
    This woman being determined to recommence her toil,
    She made a preparation to give it the ‘booking boil’
    With soap & bog water, she boiled it neat and clean
    And she whacked it with a beetle to close it in the grain
    She (done) all this as I’ve told you without a word of lie
    Then she brought it home & spread it out (for) to dry
