    The namer says of all the birds in the air pick me out the "sparrow". If she points out the child who is called sparrow that child has to stand beside her. If she is wrong the child goes with the name and so on till the class is disposed of. Then both sides pull to see which will bring the other across a certain line.
    "Jack stones" is played in the following way:- Five round stones are procured like those got at the sea shore. Each child tosses them on the fronts and backs of her two hands alternately. If she succeeds in tossing them five times without letting one fall, she is supposed to have the privilege of playing first. She starts to play this way. She puts one stone on the ground, throws up one and snatches the one off the ground while the other is coming down. Then she puts down two,
