  1. The swallows build their nests beneath the eaves of the houses.
    The crow builds in the tree tops, and is made of sticks and moss and leaves. The trushes build their nests in the bushes and in the hedges and it is made of moss and clay. The trushes lay four spotted and blue eggs.
    The Cuckoo generally chooses the nest of a Robin or the nest of a trush. She lays her eggs in another birds nest she lays about five speckled eggs.
    If a boy robs a bird nest it is said he will not get Heaven. If the swallows fly low and when you hear the Curlew crying it is a sign of rain.
