  2. Once upon a time there lived a man and a woman and they had two children a boy and a girl. They loved them very much.
    When the children were about twelve or thirteen years old the father and mother died. When they were dying the father sent for his brother and told him to take care of the children and feed and clothe them and that he would give him the place and the money. So after a few weeks the man grew tired of the children and sent for two bad men. When the two men came he told them to kill the children and that they would get money from them. So they called the children and when they came the uncle told them to go with the two men and that they would take care of them and bring them into the wood and show them the nice flowers.
