  2. Dermot Mac Murrogh ploughed up the Yellow River, Ballinaglera when he was eloping with O'Rourke's wife. It is said that they went as far as Sliabh an Iarainn Mts., and that they rested at a stream which is called today, "Sruain Uí Ruairc".
    There was a man named Major O'Hara in the old dispensary, Drumristan, Ballinaglera, who fought with King James' Army in the Battle of the Boyne.
