  1. Bird Lore
    In this district we have a great number of wild birds but the most common of them all is the thrush. The thrush begins to build he nest in early Spring. She builds her nest in a sheltered corner.
    This bird is a speckled brown bird. When she has her nest built she lays five bright blue eggs. There are two kinds of thrushes the mistle thrush and the song thrush. The song thrush is one of our sweetest singers.
    The wren is the cutest bird in this district. She builds her nest in a ruined wall or in an ivied tree. This nest which is built of moss and is lined with feathers has its
