    arriving that he wanted him to go on a message to a place three miles beyond Ballyohannon. He had no horse or car and started on foot. He returned immediately and brought an answer to the letter to the Colonel and was back again in his own home in Doonbilly before the sun went down.
    This happened on the twelth of July about sixty years ago, and the story is often repeated around the friends of my locality to this day.

  2. My great grandfather was also very strong. He was employed as a workman in the mill for grounding corn at Fevemulebourne. The corn was carried to the first floor and this was reached by a stair of eight steps. He carried a sack containing 5 cwt of rato up those eight steps and never felt after that it injured him in any way.
