The cure for the mumps is as follows: if a man's and his wife's maiden name are the same the children have the cure of the mumps. If there are seven sons of seven daughters in a house after another the seventh has the cure of the tooth-ache. the cure for whooping caugh is if you have a young donkey that was never worked and the person who has it is put out three times under the donkey. For the "rose" you get a green stone and you rub it to the place that is sore three times saying In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.
