    It was of a summers evening in the year of 63,
    I rambled down the abbent raod my comrade boys
    I met them all together as I often did before
    and I spent that night until clear daylight
    with the boys of carramore

    It is lonley,
    it is lonely they have left me here to the
    corner of Ryehill
    Oh how I sigh and loudly cry
    For the boys of Carramore.

    But now theyre all departed Im sorry for to say
    For any leisure I had with them I used to play
    So now Their loving parents their loss do deplore
    It is far away in America

    My curse attend the landlord who did them separate
    Unto a foreign country they had to emigrate
    They had to seek a livelihood upon a foreign
