that my grandfather had at shoemaking. During the night the two journeymen began to fight. Mr Hansom did not know that it was a fight begun on purpose to disturb him. So, he tried to make peace between them but got the whole weight of the blows. In the struggle, his watch was broken. He also found in the morning that the silver buttons of his coat and waistcoat were cut off. He never again accepted my uncle's offer of a night's lodging.
