There is a well in Caherglissane and people go there and say prayers. There is a stone bed near the well and if a person who had pains lay over on the bed of stone to to say a hail mary and a few more prayers they would be cured. There is pilgrimage there every July and all who go leave money on a stone. There is a timber cup near the well for people to drink the water. The water cannot be used for cooking because there is a cure in it. There is also a chair there, it is made of stone and if a person had rheumatism and to sit on the flag chair, and to say Hail Mary, and three Glories he would be cured. There was a man from Cahermore cured at the well.
- 1) Fear i nGort a Buidhe:- Bhí an fear seo ag iasgaireacht lá agus rug sé ar an maighdean mhara. Chuir sé isteach í seomra í agus bhí sí i gcomhnuidhe ag rád, "imtheóchaidh mé, imtheóchaidh mé". An lá seo chuaidh sé amach ag romhair faoi chrann sceiche agus chuala sé an mhaighdean mhara ag gáirí. Annsin chuaidh sé isteach í ngarrdha cabáiste ag obair. Chuala sé ag gáirí arís í.
