  1. Beastings are made from the second supply of milk taken from a cow which has calved.
    This is put into a pot, allowed to boil. It will be seen that there are little yellow lumps like butter on top of buttermilk in a churn and there is a thin liquid left like whey. This dish called Beastings is used with potatoes for dinner and is highly thought of by people, who live in the country
