    No two people should wash their hands in the same water, but if they spit in it, it is all right.
    Forts should never be interfered with nor the trees nor bushes in them cut or the fairies will have revenge. A lone white-thorn bush in a field is a fairy bush and no one should touch it.
    A drop of water which has collected in a rock or a tree is a cure for warts. A weed grows in the potato-drills and the milk out of it is a sure cure for warts.
    A person must always leave a house by the same door as he came in on. If he goes out by another door there would be no butter on the churning.
