  1. A man and a woman owned pigs that had the disorder. They offered them to [St] Martin and they got better, but when the pigs were fat the wife said to the husband that they would sell them, that God Almighty knew how bad they needed the money, and that they would kill a fowl for Martin instead. They sold the pigs and got a good price for them but all the hair fell off the woman's head and never grew again. A man came in visiting and she began telling him the story and said "Thanks be to the Great God we lost nothing by what we done" and as she was sweeping the man was looking at the hair falling off her head in lumps down on the floor and she herself did not notice it at all. That was the hand of God left on them for deceiving Martin.
