renowned fighter. He looked much stronger than James. An argument started and the end of it was Hugh gave James a blow in the ear. James threw off his coat turned up sleeves and the fight began in earnest.
Shortly after the fight began three policemen came on the scene and seeing that Hugh was being abused rather much by James they said they would arrest James. On hearing this James said that they had better send for more help.
The police laughed but they soon found out that they were unable to remove James. A message was sent for more help to the Barracks and three others came and six tried their best but failed to take James to the Barracks. Three others came and when James saw nine policemen ready to take him - he walked quietly with them to the Barracks.
He was brought to the district court in Glenties. The R. M. dismissed the case and said it was James Kennedy should have had on "the belt".
