  2. Bogbine a thick juicy plant found in marshy and boggy land is regarded as a valuable cure for blood troubles. In our parish even to this day it is gathered and boiled and bottled.
    Its taste is extremely bitter like cascars and it is a rather dark drink. During spring is the correct time to use it.
