    Jane made gallant attempts to catch him but he kept out of her sight. 
It nettled Jame so much to be tricked by a fairy that she drove her cows over the mound about ten times.
    The fairies were greatly angered also and after that poor Jane’s cows never throve. She used to get a bucket full of milk from each cow but when she interfered with the fairies her milk got very scarce.

  2. On their way home from a wake one night a long time ago James Likely, Paddy Rogers and Barney Gallagher passed a fairy mound in Hugh Martins field. Standing on the mound there was a very wee man and he asked Paddy
