    In the winter horses usually get mouth disease. They are brought to the blacksmith and he burns their mouths with a red iron.
    Black Quarter
    Cattle also get a disease called Black Quarter that is, a quarter of their body gets black. There is no cure, but it can be prevented by injections of Blacklegoids.
    Cattle get a colic something like a cough. It is cured by “Spirits of Turpintine”
