    On the 24th June a fire was lit, and the cows were made walk through the fire.
    A person having a grudge against his neighbour borrowed some of the neighbours butter, & worked a charm on it. The neighbours butter would be bad.
    1/ It is said that it is unlucky to buy a sweeping brush in the month of May that some of the family would die.
    2/ If you gave out money ona Monday you are losing your luck for the week.
    3/If you heard the cuckoo on your right side and the corn-crake on your left you would not have any luck for the year.
