  1. Local Songs

I went up to the cross of Feddons,

    Local Songs
I went up to the cross of Feddons
And put rosin on my bow
And the sound of my fiddle
    You could hear in Curraghmore
    I played in Knockaturney
    And I played in Moominane
And where I ate my dinner
    Was at Fahey’s of “Cruacáin”
    I played for Micheal Kirby
And for little Tom the Squeen
I played for long Tom Hassett
    And the little Tailoreen
I went in to Patrick Cusack
For a saucer grain of meal
And he said he hadn’t the like
For the hens they weren’t layin’
Composed by the late W.Rockett, Kilnasbeg, Clonea
