    Deanadh nó cumadh an t-amhrán so nuair tógadh an séipéal i Lios Mór sa bhliain 1841.
    Níl fhios ag an té a thug an dán seo dam cé sgríobh, é ach tá an méid seo ar eolas aige gurab duine de muinntir Uí Domhnaill a sgríóbh é agus gur col-cheathar dó é. Bé Father Casey, Athair Peter na sagairt a bhí sa Liosmór an uair sin.
