    copy books, and they had to bring their own ink also.
    The seats the children sat on were planks of wood and there was a bog - sod under each end of the planks.
    There was a good long table in the school. It was for the teacher. It was made by the local carpenter Mr. Michael Hopkins, Eskeragh. The children using copy books wrote at that table. There was no blackboard in the school. Miss Mary Coleman waited also five years in the school which I have described.
