    Once upon a time there were three brothers whose names were Dick, Harry and Tom.

After a while they went to sleep. Tom did not sleep at all that night, because he heard the woman uttering to herself. He told his other brothers to get up and they did. The old woman was a witch and she wanted to kill them.
    The three got up and ran out the door. The old woman followed them with a knife. The three brothers went across the river on the tree to the other side. The witch tried to cross on the tree but the three brothers pulled it and she fell in and got drowned. The three of them went home to their father and mother and lived happily after.
