  1. Two clans of Tinkers, the Maughans and Collinss, come to our neighbourhood occassionally. They have no fixed place of abode, but mostly always they camp at Nettly and Rappa. They wait for a week or ten days in the one place. Two families of them camp together, and in that manner two tents or even more can be seen together. They are very similar in their manner. They are very chatty and are not ashamed to ask anything. They alway endeavour to be near a bog where turf is convenient. They are very persistent
