About seventy years ago there lived a man named Johnny Ruane and his wife in Ballycastle.

    (continued from previous page)
in Ballina. Johnny was asked by Judge did he get any money, and he said he did. The Judge asked him what did he do with it. The Judge asked him on what day did he get it lost. Johnny said he had no memory and that he thought it was the day before he went to school. The Judge told him that he had a good mind to put him to jail for fourteen days for making a fool of them and himself. Johnny went home and enjoyed the contents of the bag of money.
